When Bobby Brown was arrested this week on suspicion of DUI, few people were surprised. It wasn't exactly the singer's first arrest.
Among those who saw another run in with the law coming for this New Edition members? Cissy Houston, the mother of Whitney who has been telling everyone in her circle that Bobby is a bad influence on 19-year old granddaughter Bobbi Kristina.
Sources tell TMZ Cissy feels "vindicated" by the arrest and hopes the incident helps her case: that Brown should "keep his distance" from his child, who has been going through a great deal of turmoil since her mom's passing last month.
Referring to her dad, one insider says: "This is the last person she needs to be around."
It doesn't sound like Bobbi will need much convincing. Rumors state that the teenager is hoping to change her last name in the near future in order to separate herself as much as possible from her law-breaking parent.
