We are currently recruiting for a Product Manager to work within our new business and product management department. The main purpose of the role is to ensure that volume, revenue and acquisition targets in the department are met and implementing the strategy for the business unit.
As Product Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Developing marketing and promotional activities to improve new business sales
- Identifying gaps in the market where the Hastings brands can offer a solution and working with teams to ensure they are implemented
- Ensuring all new products meet customer needs for their relevant segment
- Ensuring all products are profitable for Hastings
- Analysing various sources of MI (including aggregator portals, Consumer Intelligence, e-bench markers and other market reports),
- Identifying trends, opportunities and poor performing segments to improve income
- Analysing and improving business processes across Hastings Direct to improve New Business sales including ancillaries
- Ensuring all activities are compliant and within FSA and TCF guidelines
- Managing key strategic projects
- Providing commentary and analysis for the weekly and monthly trading updates
- Managing commercial third party relationships
As Product Manager your experience will ideally include:
- Previous experience from within a similar role
- Educated to degree level, ideally within statistics or marketing based subject
- Must have strong commercial acumen, ideally gained from within a blue chip organisation
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
- Strong corporate communication skills with the ability to present at board level
- Demonstrable commercial achievements
- A business improvement focus as well as the ability to thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment
