Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Specs and Jelly Bean Revealed?

While signs thus far have pointed to Samsung putting Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, it appears that the company might be putting Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean on the upcoming phablet, set to arrive on August 29th in Berlin, Germany.

According to Korean publication Seoul Newspaper, the Galaxy Note 2 might be coming with Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean on board when it arrives on shelves later this year.

The company has seemingly obtained a specification sheet for the upcoming product that reveals the device?s supposed specifications, several of which have been rumored before.

The Galaxy Note 2 specs may have been revealed.

According to the spec sheet, the Galaxy Note 2, which is listed as the GT-N7100 (the original was the GT-N7000) will feature a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 1280x720p resolution, a Exynos 4412 quad-core processor, an 8MP rear camera, 16GB and 32GB storage options, and Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.

The sheet also seems to suggest 3G and 4G LTE connectivity and a 16:9 aspect ratio for the screen.

The publication also claims that the Galaxy Note 2 design will not have the same curves as its predecessor, which might be to protect it from Apple who recently was awarded over $1 billion in damages from Samsung due to patent infringement. Instead, the Galaxy Note 2 may come with a more rectangular shape, as seen in the photo below.

The Galaxy Note 2 could feature a rectangular design.

Samsung has yet to confirm any of the device?s details though consumers only have to wait a couple of days to find out for sure.

The company has scheduled an Unpacked event for August 29th wherein it will show off the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and its features for the first time.

Samsung?s Galaxy Note 2 will replace the original 5.3-inch Galaxy Note which launched in October of 2011 and has been available on AT&T since February and on T-Mobile since August.

T-Mobile was recently rumored to have cancelled the Galaxy Note, possibly in favor of the Galaxy Note 2.

Thanks Colin!
